I agreed mainly because eyes aren't something you need to live. So, only the organs that are necessary to sustain life are on my organ donor card. :)
Alty, she probably meant that you had to save your eyes to see in the afterlife. It is an old european saying. She wanted you to be able to see everyone who had passed on and would connect with. A wonderful thought from my perspective.. hugs, my dear. She is right.

That makes a lot of sense. My mom was very superstitious, and of course very European.

Hugs right back at you Tick. :)

Marta visited me late one night and... well, that's all I can tell you. Not only can I see your house from my back porch, she can see my house from your front porch. She's quite a woman!

Okay, I've come to the conclusion that I'm not the hijack queen. Stringer and WG are. I just follow their lead.

    I am innocent! :)

Marta and I DO agree about you -- kind, strong, handsome, loving, caring, funny, sweet, charming, sometimes dopey, a good worker, a valuable neighbor... should I go on?

    See? She's a closet flirt. ;)

That's why we love her. :)

That and the fact that she's my personal editor. Thank goodness she's stopped trying to correct my comma splices.

OMG! Am I a lost cause?

Okay, seriously, we're totally hijacking this thread, and I always get the blame. This time I'm taking you both with me.

    Excellent idea Ex.

I have made arrangements for my body to be dumped on the front porch of whoever I am most irritated with at the time , and ruin their day.

Explain that to the police, a dead body of someone you know on the porch (or in the house if possible , car trunk would be OK too)
And you know nothing about how it got there...

I have instructed any who may, not to claim the body and tell them I had a disease or something that scares you and you want it shot into the Sun , or burned in a chemical waste incinerator.

I always hated funerals. Too dull and sad.;)

There are a bunch here that spend a lot of time of the site and are 'internet friends'. You're right - they should take their chats elsewhere.
