    Does my sentence need a comma?
    John also mentioned that recipients of the report would included top delegates such as Mary Gold to various journalists.

    Included should be include because you are not supposed to change the tense from present to past tense in a sentence. If you are using present tense you should stay with present tense.

    Also your sentence does not make sense. I would change it around.

    Who is Mary Gold? Is she a top delegate, a recipient, or both?

    Are the journalists recipients?

    I would write: John also mentioned to top delegates such as Mary Gold that recipients of the report would be various journalists.
