    Installation of Transformer wiring
I have central heating and my Transformer has burned out. I have a new Transfomer and I'm having trouble installing it with the different types of wires. Can you please assist me with installing the correct wires into the Transformer.

The new one should have 2 pairs of wires. Are they marked at all? One pair of wires is the primary, often black and connect to the black wire and white wire from the house 120 volt feed. The other pair of wires is the secondary, perhaps yellow, the 24 volt feed to the furnace controls often red and blue wires. Since it is AC, as long as you have the right pair, either wire can be connected to either other wire. If there is a fifth wire, it isn't used, but will be next to the secondary wires.
