    design piping system
this is for my fluid mechanics project.but I really don't have any idea on how to do this.

    problem statement:
-8 storey apartment block with water tank at the top of the building.
-need to perform preliminary design to come up with a piping system & pump selection to supply water to the storage tank.
-watter will be tapped from mine pipeline at pressure 250kPa gage.

    data=
1)total daily consumption for the block is approximately 40 000 liter.
2)pump can be automatically switched on (and off) three or four times daily, as the water leverl reaches the lower limit.
3)min difference, between the lowest water level in the tank and the outlet pipe taps in units, must be at least 10m to ensure sufficient delivery pressure.
    4)use schedule 40 pipes
5)max liquid velocity in piping shall not exceed approx 10-12 ft/s
