    Emotional Higher Ground
    Nobody likes to not be wanted... Either from an ex, who no longer wants you... ouch! Or from prospective partners who don't fancy you... ouch.

    You can't hide from the hurt of this, but what is the best way to act around these people so that they either want you or are pissed off that you appear to not want them... emotional higher ground ?

    For the sake of yourself and those around you, it is best to truly accept that they don't want you. If you can do that and not let it make you feel inadequate (because not having "it" for one specific person doesn't mean you're inadequate), you will find yourself at peace with the situation without worry about higher ground.

    It's also a great exercise for self-confidence. And we all know nothing is sexier than self-confidence!

    If they don't like you, forget 'em! If you are always doing your own thing, then who cares if they like you for a day or two, or forever. You deal with them accordingly.

    Emotional higher ground is only that you are happy with yourself and what you do, no matter who isn't.
