Can the judge extend your probation of 5 years, if there is a restitution balance?
I have a very large restitution balance, I haven't filed bankruptcy because I have been waiting for my probation to end, which would make my restitution a civil issue.

Can the judge extend my probation? My probation was for 5 years, which will end soon, and because of the large restitution amount, will never be able to pay it off. Along with this sentence came a felony, which has killed me in the employment world.. as well as seeking an education that would offer any real stability financially... any suggestions or information would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hello C:

Not paying restitution is a violation. Therefore, they CAN extend it.
