Can I report 1099 income while on ss?
I am receiving social security benefits for a disability of Bipolar Disease. My family owns a business and would like to compensate me for the work that I can do. Such as sending out flyers and advertising. Am I allowed to claim 1099 income while receiving social security?

This is NOT really a tax question; it is a LEGAL question best posted in the LAW Forum.

That said, I believe that you CAN accept some income for work done, but it is limited. A phone call to the Social Security Administration should get you an answer.
