I need help for my anxiety.
It's been awhile since I've been on here due to not having internet, but things have changed a bit if you've read my older posts. Things seem to be going better with my boyfriend, kind of. Not as much fighting that's for sure. My anxiety has seemed to get a little better, but that could be because I'm not putting as much effort to socialize with anyone. But I still get anxiety attacks randomly and they are very bad and over the most random things in the world. Like last night, my boyfriend was playing a game and I got extremely annoyed cause I have a dentist appointment at one and he started to play around 9 at night and didn't stop till about 3-4am. Every time I have an anxiety attack I get extremely angry and punch myself repeatedly in my legs until I can't do it anymore. I've asked my mom to take me to doctors but none of the ones recommended by our regular doctor are covered by our insurance. I don't know what to do I know this behavior is not normal and I'm sick of being anxious and angry all the time.

Why can't your Doctor find a specialist that IS covered by your health plan.

And why can't your Doctor start treatment himself. Not all disorders are necessarily treated by specialists. At the least I would expect that he could do a thourough assessment of your needs. And if necessary, refer to you a Doctor that is covered for you.

Find out more directly from your Doctor. Or, do a little research based on information he gives you about what type of Doctor he is recommending, and call your insurance company to find out which of those Doctors are covered.

You will have to do a little work on your own to find a Doctor with the speciality that your family Doctor wants you to see. Then get a referral to that specific Doctor.

Don't give up, clearly you know you do need to see someone to address this anxiety you are experiencing. Finding the right Doctor will make all the difference. Good luck to you.
