Jules Pfeiffer wrote an interesting cartoon on identity crisis, a longish one, maybe 1962-1964. Experts in cartoons can help me finding it? GM ?

I came across you post at random. At this point I forget what I was originally looking for.

I had a Pfeiffer cartoon that my father had clipped before I was born. It was of a ballet dancer being questioned by a group of hoi polloi about the meaning of life. They were at a loss for meaning. I cannot remember the whole dialog, but the punchline was "hence we dance" and the ballet dancer bounded off.

This is not quite an "identity crisis" but it was a crisis of meaning. And your post led me to rummage through my memorabilia to try to find it. I'm sure I must have it somewhere, but I was not able to find it today.

I wonder if this is the one you had in mind.

:)Mike, thank you very much. In fact it might be it. At anyrate it triggered some flashback. Whenever you find the clipping I would love to have a more precise reference so I can look at it G
