    In what situation.

    Do you mean the splitter for an ADSL line to the router or something else.

    Please clarify your question.

    Are you looking for a minimum distance, maximum distance or anything in between? Ideal is relative.

    I agree with Curlyben. We need more information!

    If you're referring to an ADSL Splitter and having one go to phone and the other to modem/router then chek out the following link:

    Length of cable from ADSL splitter to modem effects speed!
    (although I have 25' from my jack to my modem)

    However this link says 75' max
    WeetHet - ADSL - Common MXStream problems ...

    If you're referring to cable splitter so one goes to TV or cable box and the other to a cable modem/router everything I read said a max of 50'


    Not sure if this is correct. I am sure someone knows!
