    Amana washer won't agitate
    I have an Amana washer model number LWA50AM that will fill, drain and spin but won't agitate. In agitation cycle the motor hums like it is in a locked rotor state. Any ideas?

I have a GE washer Model# GDSR4110T6WW that won't agitate. It fills with water. Then when the agitating starts, the motor kind of sounds like its turning on and off. The agitator moves about an inch back and forth. I can move the dial to the drain/spin cycle and that works fine. Any ideas?
