I'm a 28 year old F/ who has always experienced primary anorgasmia and complete absence of libido, despite Kegal exercises and abstaining from medication (Currently take paxil 40mg qd but symptoms present long before meds and persisted long after abstaining from them). I was diagnosed w/ interstitial cystitis at the age of 4 which occasionally causes dyspareunia, but not often enough to deter intercourse if I so desired. I receive yearly GYN exams, all have been normal. Please help.

Many questions: Have you had a complete exam, blood work, etc. to rule out a possible medical cause? Any history of abuse... sexual or otherwise? Any time with a therapist to determine if there is a pyschological connection?
Have you ever attempted to bring yourself to orgasm? No concerns regarding physical sensation during regular pelvic exams... as in a lack of physical feeling or psychological disassociation?

If some of these things haven't been considered, might be another possibility to think about.
