If you have his account information you should be able to. But why can't he do it?

I'm going to let him deposit. I was just wondering if it was possible to do that?

If this is one of those Nigerian scam checks, no the check is not real. If you do deposit this check into your roommate's account do not take out any of the funds that you "think" are there until the check has finally cleared.

Is this a local check or a check from another state, country?

You can deposit any amount of money into anyone's account. Getting it out again is not possible.

    Hello d:

No, it does not matter who walks into the bank and puts the pieces of paper in the tellers window.
