    Office 2003 Needs To Close
Hi, every time I open a word document or anything from office 2003 a window opens saying that it has encountered a problem and needs to close. I already tried to repair it and re-install it but still the same.
    Any ideas for a fix?
    Windows xp. 1300mhz. 1024mb
    Thank you

I assume this is a *real* install and not a trial that has perhaps expired or anything...

Have you tried completely wiping Office?

You could try a registry edit, but please be careful, okay?

Start-->Run and type regedit and hit enter.
    Browse to hkey-current-user\software\microsoft\office\11.0

I would right-click the 11.0 folder and rename it to Old11, close the registry and try running one of the apps again. If it doesn't run, NOW do your reinstall. If the registry somehow got hosed up, it may not be being corrected by an install (because it already sees itself and doesn't think anything's wrong in the registry, it just ignores that part of the install--maybe). This will force it to fix its registry... hopefully.

Most likely, you don't have the right printer driver for your combination of printer model and Windows. That is usually why there is a problem. I hope it helps, but I'm not very good with hardware issues. If I were you, I would ask in the hardware section.

    Good luck!
    :)
