    Pay credit cards deceased?
My mother passed away a few years ago. I was not aware of the laws of her existing debt. I continued to pay her credit card, but I'm no longer able to pay. I've never contacted them, but I just recently stopped paying - 3months behind. Along with my brother we were willed a home to which we assumed financial obligation. There is no equity in the home. Would that still make me responsible to pay the credit card? There is no liquid assets.

You are not responsible for her credit card debt. Send a copy of the death certificate.

And if they keep bothering you, ignore them or tell them to cease and desist. They have to sue a deceased person's estate, not the heirs.

Were the cards used to pay medical bills? Has anyone used the cards since she passed away?

This should have been handled when the estate was probated.

Who was the executor and was there a Will?
