    Hello:

    There are no grants that I've found designed especially for felons. In terms of OTHER grants, your conviction neither hinders nor helps your application for them.

    There's nothing saying you can't get a grant so jump in with both feet. Some of the books about free money have resources dedicated to exfelons. The best way to market yourself is to find a grant and be a business owner (and a felon). You can use your experience and make it relevant to starting a business. There are also grants for black adults and for hispanic adults and for minority business owners. I work with felons and I tell them to think outside the box. You are going to be your own advocaate, and when others judge you, start a business - you won't judge you
