    Low hot water pressure
I have a delta single handle faucet and when I turn the handle to hot the water runs very slowly. It runs fine when it is in the cold position. The faucet has a scald guard on it. I am wondering if the cartridge might be clogged. Should I take the handle off and try and clean out the fitting by turning the water system back on or is the scald guard separate from the cartridge section. Thanks

I would shut the water off to the valve and remove everything including the seats and springs, (see image) Cleaqn out any crud and turn the water back on to flush out the supplies. There should be a strong hot water stream coming out of the open valve body. If so reassemble and test. Good luck, Tom
