The bubbles say to look for a blockage downstream from the tub in the toilets drain line If the toilet gurgles instead of bubbling then I would suspect the lavatory roof vent. Any back up into the tub?
Are you quite sure it's a bubble and not a gurgle? Do you see bubbles in the toilet or simply hear them? Back to you, Tom

Tom, there is no backup in the tubs. But it did gurgle as I snaked the line from the tub

Tom, there is no back up in the tubs, but it did gurgle as I snaked the line from the tub. If the vent line is the problem what do I do to clear the vent at the roof?

If your snake's too short you rent a sewer machine, (see image) and snake from the lavatory roof vent. Put 9out enough snake to reach the base and 18 feet more to get out to the main. Good luck, Tom

We are on a septic tank with a 20-year old drain field. We repeatedly have problems and have had the septic tank pumped three times over the last few years. All three toilets backup into tubs and showers at same time [ 4 Answers ]

This has happened before. No one was using anything and there is only the two of use anyway. We are semiretired and I was sitting and I heard some bubbling in the toilet and I knew it was backed up again cause that is what happened last time. And when you plunge in one spot it causes things to...

Running a drain from laundry tubs [ 1 Answers ]

I ran a drain pipe from the basement laundry tubs along the wall to the other side of the basement where the drain was. It worked fine. Last year we had an extension added to the house and in doing so wound up with pipe running through a doorway 1 foot off the floor. We now have to step over the...

Slow drain both toilets, sinks, everything [ 2 Answers ]

I am fearing that in an effort to save time, I plugged up the mainline. I flushed some clumping kitty litter. It plugged the toilet. I plunged it like a hundred times. It freed. Fine for a couple days. Then, toilets fill up, don't go down right away. In the upstairs bathroom, if you...

Tubs/toilets clogged [ 1 Answers ]

Three days ago, in our ranch house with 2 full baths, both showers were used and the water stopped draining and when the toilet was flushed it did not drain but overflowed and also caused water to start leaking in a small pinhole in the cast iron drainage pipe between bath #1 and bath #2. Bath #1...
