    What's the difference between being license and having credentials?

    For example... a registered nurse is licensed.

    A surgical scrub tech is certified.

    The difference is a ton of schooling in the area of expertise.

    credentials = schooling/training/degrees

    license = permission to practice, usually given by a U.S. state or some governing body that oversees the profession
