Does cache ever autmatically delete itself ?
I know that history can be set to delete automatically.
However, does the cache portion from the internet temporary files ever self destruct
(or delete) after a period goes by when if a site hasn't been visited ?

Cache is finite. As new sites are visited old sites are supposed to be deleted.
