    Starts and stops then start and jerks and takesoff
    My 1997 Honda civic starts then stops, then starts again then jerks and then it takes off. As I slow down it flutters and turns off.Please help

    It sounds like a bad Ignition Control Module (igniter). However, make sure the spark plugs have been changed in the last 24,000 miles or 24 months. I would also make sure the fuel filter has been changed in the last 60,000 miles or 48 months.
