    Wiring Honeywell Thermostat RTH230B
    Hello every one my name is Ray from Florida. I currently purchase a new thermostat and I am having some trouble figuring it out. My current thermostat has 10 wires X2 O G Y T R W U F B and my new Honeywell RTH230B has only five Rh Rc W Y G. How do I match my wires?

    The X2 and O plus Florida suggest a heat pump. I hope you have the receipt for the thermostat. Read the directions carefully. If they don't say anything about a heat pump, take it back and get one that does. The wiring for a heat pump is more complicated than a furnace-A/C.

    Thanks for the info, I did return it to Lowe's. The sad thing is that when I asked them to provide me with one that was compatible, the guy seamed a little lost of knowledge.
