How to remove red hair color, return to blonde color
I have been having my hair processed for years (naturally a dark ugly blonde). I recently went red, I look like a clown and want the red moved. Can I do this myself without my hair breaking off?

I have the same problem! I can put browns over but within a couple of weeks it looks ginger.. I used a dark ash blonde last night now I have bright ginger hair! :(

I think the only way you can do this is with colour correction in a salon its very expensive and time consuming but it's the safest way to do it.

Use a drabber, found at the drug store. It will take some of the reds out. In a couple of weeks, use L'oreal dream blonde 8 med or 9A if you want to go lighter. This haircolor is pretty true to color, unlike so many other blonde haircolors. I get mine online as it is hard to find in stores these days. Target.com is having a 20% off sale on orders over $50. I got 7 boxes (stocked up) for $78. Free shipping too!

Honestly it's going to have to be damaged. Your best bet is to bleach it and use extra moister using conditioner

Your hair is made up of green and red pigments.
So is you try dying it back. I'm sorry it will be pink.

If maybe tone the red down with adding brown. I've had it before and it looks beautiful. But pick a very dark brown

Or be a model for in training. They have been to beauty school but are refreshing the tools to be a dying hair color specialist. They are really good and since in training it's cheaper
