Horrible smell that comes and goes in Kitchen
    Hello,

For a couple of months we have been experiencing a horrible, sewage, fishy smell in our kitchen however it comes and goes sometimes it will stay for a couple of hours or days.

We found our cat using the space under the cupboards as her toilet so thought that this would be the cause. But we stopped her doing this and the smell is still around.

Our kitchen is brand new so we don't really want to dig it all up again! So we spoke to the plumber as our bathroom is above the kitchen so thought that the pipe may be giving the smells but he told us that the pipe is sealed therefore nobody should be able to smell anything.

In the past week we have been able to smell it outside, not as strongly but it is still there.

My mother said that she THINKS it came after she turned the heating off.

Help please, it is driving us mad!

It's possible that you might have some "old" stuff stuck in your sink traps. Try pouring some undiluted bleach into each drain and let it sit for 1/2 hour or so before you run fresh hot water down the drain. Good luck!
