On my sears riding lawn mower 46
I have reoved the blades but the 'star' spindle is worn--- I can't figure out how to replace the piece-- there a bolt on top of the 'Mandrel' assembly but nothing to leverage against to remove it-- I'm sure it probably something simple I can't see--- any help would be appreciated

I was driving my lawn tractor up a ramp into a truck. It shut down suddenly. No lights. It won't turn over at all. The fuse is OK and the battery isn't dead. Any ideas what would cause the electrical system to shut off?
