    A tablespoonfull of Malt Extract
To make Gary Rhode's Malt Loaf 8-teblespoonfulls of Malt Extract are required.

A silly question but exactly what is a tablespoonfull of Malt Extract - or even Golden Syrup.

When the spoon is taken from the jar it is a heaped sponfull with a further considerable amount under the spoon. Is it meant to be a level spponfullpossibly achieved by warming the substance in advance to put it into a very bliquid form.

    Thanks,

    Allen

I pour the heavy liquid into a tablespoon measure. I don't dip it into the can. That way you can ensured of a tablespoon measure. Don't worry about the residue in the tablespoon measure.

8 Tablespoons is a 1/2 cup, make it easier and use a measuring cup:)
