My bathroom is 61.5" wide. My new tub is 60" wide. We are using tile as our surround. How do we make up the 1.5" space that is inbetween the wall and the tub?

Do I have to shim out the wall at every stud 1.5"?

Just put the tub tight against the valve side and fur out the opposite side, you could fur out a few inches wider than the tub if you don't want to fur out the whole wall. Goodluck!
