    Win98 or WinME
    I just go an old hp provillian for my small daycare children is has windows 98 I want to remove that and install windows me how do I go about removing the windows 98 so I can do that?

    In my opinion I'd avoid Windows ME like the plague.
    It SUCKS big time and makes Windows 3.1 (remeber those days) look good ;)

    You are much better off with a fully updated Windows 98 SE then you will ever be with ME.

    Howdy and welcome to AMHD:

    Personally, I would be sticking with Win98 rather going to what is prbably the worst operating system Microsoft ever came up with..

    That being said, you will need a WinME boot floppy.. Boot the system using the floppy, format the hdd and then use the ME cd and install ME..

    Once that is done, you will need to load the drivers for all your hardware!

    Windows Me sucks HARD (IMHO).

    I'd stick with Win98 unless you have masochistic tendencies ;)
