Information relating to the company's operations in March follows:
Process costing journal entries
a.Raw materials were issued for use in production:
Molding dept. $28,000
Firming Dept. $5,000
b. direct labor cost were incurred:
Molding dept. $18,000
Firming dept. 5,000
c. Manufacturing overhead was applied:
Molding dept. 24,000
Firming 37,000
d. unfired, molded bricks were transferred from the molding dept to the firing dept.
According to the company's process costing system the cost of unfired, molded bricks was 67,000
e.finished bricks were transferred to the firing dept to the finished goods warehouse the cost of the finished bricks was 108,000
f. finished bricks were sold to customers the cost was 106,000
