    Sears lawn mower 536.270301 wiring
    Can't get spark to plug cranks fine ,could it be an open safety switch?

    Could be ,but as a rule most of the time it will not crank if it's a safety switch,sounds like it could be coil.
    How are you checking for fire to plug.
