That'll change. You'll start to see things in a much better view and you'll be generally happier. At first it makes you not care about anything at all but soon you'll start feeling much much more into the things you are doing. Oh and if you hit that little OCD faze that'll pass too.

No experience with prozac... have used anti anxiety meds and antidepressants in the past when I went through an incredibly f*ugly fight with depression. Ill second the "give it time" given to diMO... not uncommon for 4-6 weeks minimum for some meds to take full hold... and stay on schedule. Some will really drop out of your system with a missed day or two.

And I agree about eating quality food... a six pack doesn't reflect what your arteries look like or what your liver is functioning like... of course being not overweight is a great step in the right direction for sound health... but you are still fueling your body with processed junk.

How has your energy been? Sleep?

I'm thinking your body is just really resetting after all the noise its been through... but, like you said, you have a doc's appt soon.

Thanks kp. You're totally right, I am just eating crap and I really should eat healthier. I know that. LoL good is good though you know. I won't be laughing when I'm on dialasis in the ER though I guess. My energy has been fine mostly but last couple of days I have slept a lot. I don't know if it is because I am just getting over a resperatory virus or if its my diet. I love sleep, but 14 hours a day is a little much.
I probably should start trying to live a little healthier

OK for an update. Just as an fyi, I seem to have stabalized at 163 lbs. It's a good weight for me and I think I can start working out again. I know that'll put some weight back on but since my fat level is so low now I say its about time to get buff again. Thanks for everyone's help. :)

To add to prozac, sexual disfunction and/or erectile disfunction... doc says wellbutrin will counter that side effect.

I'm not a doctor or pharmacist. I don't prescribe any meds. I've degrees in the sciences and I love to read about health issues, which means I know enough to think I know what I'm talking about much of the time here... but when in doubt, the pro's get the floor over me.

Follow the docs advice, give it time, and stay on the med schedule... it can take several weeks of using wellbutrin before the effects are fully realized... and even then, it might need to be bumped in dosage.

So... I think its good to understand the chain of events when ED/libido issues are talked about.

First... you need to have the capacity to have a quality erection from an anatomical/physiological perspective. Basically this just means is it possible for your body to have a quality erection... even if it isn't happening at the moment. One way this can be "tested" is to look for the ability to have nocturnal erections... but most of us don't have people monitering whether we get hard-ons in our sleep. But its one indicator... and personally, when I've woken up at night with an erection, its usually as strong, if not stronger, than any experienced when normally awake. No mind clutter in the way. Just my experience. Anyway, nighttime erections are one good indicator that the system is capable of quality erections.

Then you can work out from there. Cialis and viagra actually aren't "hard-on pills"... they're more like "dont get soft" pills... they simply let your body do what it is able to do for longer by blocking chemicals that can cause a loss of erection. So... you still need a "natural" ability to get an erection, you still need sexual stimulation, physical and mental, with these. A person with mental blocks that aren't dealt with might be disappointed in the use of these drugs alone. And these drugs are really geared toward ED and not libido... tho' there is an effect on libido when one trusts you can get and sustain that erection. Its why cialis, with a longer half life, might be preferred... you have a longer window to find the right moment, which decreases stress... so a direct effect on sustaining whatever you can get, and some indirect effect on confidence, which can increase libido

So wellbutrin is a completely different thing here. It actually has no direct effect on the quality of erection in terms of blood flow or inhibition of chemicals that cause you to go soft. If he is giving you this, its to jump your libido, and to hope that is enough to drive the rest of the process. It is a drug that can be used to treat depression... it regulates dopamine reuptake... and dopamine is tied to all kinds of guilty pleasures that are tied to desire. So giving you wellbutrin helps dopamine "hang around" longer when its released and this hopefully will help with any drop in drive.

Wellbutrin is different from other antidepressants because the others usually work on serotonin... so both prozac and wellbutrin may help with depression and stress in different ways.

Just a little fyi... in case he decides to bump the dosage or in case other meds are recommended for ED...

Told my gf that I may have to switch back to reg pop instead of only drinking diet. reg pop is what was keeping me at a high weight I think.
Stay away from any reg or diet sodas... check "how bad is sugar for you" and that artificial chemicals in diet food is worse unless you like chemicals in your body. You don't need to a great cook to cook healthy just use spices instead of stuff out of jars or boxes where sugar is hidden as maltodrextrin, dextrin, glucose, fructose, corn syrup solids, evaporated cane juice, high fructose, etc. How hard is it to steam fish or bake a chicken add a salad and brown rice or yams... easy!Look for recipes online and learn. Eat more raw nuts and seeds to gain weight if you need to just don't use the sugars out there. Don't forget to buy as much organic as possible so that the convention farmer will stop polluting our soil, water and air.

Great... add another drug. Why not eat wholesome food and exercise and decrease stress. Wean yourself off the drugs not add more. Try some natural remedies, accupuncture, homeopathic remedies, yoga... so much out there!
