Has Anyone Tried Pure Perfect?

This product seems to have both positives and negatives, and I have been lurking their site for the past 2.5 years now. I am wondering how much of their "new formula" has been improved and if they have come out to clarify the situation. If anyone has tried, or know anyone who has tried their products, please post any experiences and thoughts about Pure Perfect.

My personal thoughts: Well looking at Sorisha's before after photos are quite dramatic and seem to have much potential to help anyone with achieving their goals at any level, which makes it tempting for many. But, I personally like her before photo more than the after, as her after photo has a very vampire-like appearance and in my opinion had lightened too much which blended poorly with her features...well, at least by looking at this specific pic it looks this way to me. Along with their poor customer service I had experienced from them in the past, still somewhat high prices (although quite cheaper than some in the US), their limited locations of customer base to serve, and previous formulation concerns with an imbalance to the skin (Possibly due to excessive amounts of AHA acids and...did they not have Sepiwhite as an active ingredient before? if I'm correct I remember this being present before, but I may be incorrect... which should not be applied at such levels, as well as unstable formulations) but no, it does not contain any form of steroids and was sent in for testing and proved as clear. But, here is the article below and feel free to share your thoughts and opinions on your experiences with this.

Principal dermatologist and senior head of the skin clinic at the University of KwaZulu-Natal Dr Ncoza Dlova said she had sent samples of Pure Perfect for analysis after 15 patients said the product had caused them to break out in acne or darkened the colour of their skin. She said other Durban dermatologists had seen patients with similar complaints after using the facial cream, which sold for nearly R1000 in 11 selected stores countrywide.

"What usually happens with skin lighteners is that in the first month or so your skin will look really nice and, as a result, patients get a false sense of improvement. Then, four to six months later, they will start to see complications, but by then the damage would already have been done," said Dlova. "I have been working with a chemist and I have sent a sample of Pure Perfect to be analysed where they will look for the presence of steroids or any banned substances." Efforts to contact Pure Perfect were unsuccessful. Naidoo endorsed the US-based skin-lightening product after criticism of her skin colour. It also reputedly assists with acne scarring and pigmentation. However, in December, Naidoo, who is married to multimillionaire businessman Vivian Reddy, admitted in a half-page advertisement in a local newspaper that she had co-developed a "new and improved parfait", as the old cream had caused her to go from "a beautiful white shade to a very pink, flushed tone".

The new composition is said to cause "brighter, lighter and clearer skin within days". The first product, according to Naidoo, was discontinued, as it bruised and scarred her face and neck. "I constantly had to cover blotches and red marks or bruises on my neck or face. I met a cosmetologist from the UK in June who advised me that the product was exfoliating my skin faster than it could repair itself, hence the white tone of my skin was gone, only to be replaced by the very last layers of dermis."

Naidoo said consumers who tried the new cream would experience transitional side-effects, but that these were "one step closer to happier and healthier whitening". On her website, Naidoo said the new product was passed by the Department of Health and did not contain any banned substances, including hydroquinine. The chemical - a skin-whitening ingredient that breaks down the skin's protective layer, causing burning, itching and blistering - was banned in 1987 under the Foodstuffs, Cosmetic and Disinfectants Act of 1972. She said that in the past three years several dermatologists had tested the products and found no harmful substances. This week Naidoo told the Sunday Times Extra that she was aware that some people had experienced negative reactions to the first cream. "I believe, however, that these people weren't using the product correctly." She said she believed it was "good practice and every individual's right" to have the product analysed.

She said both the old and the new products had received Medicines Control Council (MCC) verification under the cosmetic category. A disclaimer on the website noted that "the use of the word lightening, in the context of a cosmetic skin-care preparation, is prohibited by local regulations in some parts of the world" and therefore the product was not for medicinal benefit and purely for cosmetic purposes. Department of Health spokesman Fidel Hadebe said it was mandatory that products advertised as skin lighteners be registered with the MCC. In an online blog, Health 24, Pure Perfect users posted complaints to a medical expert saying that the product had "destroyed" their skin and were seeking advice on how to rectify it.

I have been using Pure Perfect for over a year now and the results have been phenomenal!! My skin looks fantastic, I am a few shades lighter and my skin has an even tone. It is imperative to continue using the product to maintain your results. Friends and family always compliment me on my skin and it feels great. I have never had a bad reaction to any of the Pure Perfect products I have used. (I have used the Parfait, the Toner, the soap and the mask). It is a brilliant product. However, I have yet to try the "new and improved" pure perfect parfait because I haven't finished with my old cream as yet. I hope that the negative rumours are not true and that the new cream delivers the way the old one has.

It is ultimately your decision if you want to try this product. I just thought I should share my experience with you.

Thanks Tashy777, you're the first customer who I have heard from so far. Unfortunately, Pure Perfect doesn't ship to the U.S. only in South Africa that I'm aware of since the last time they mentioned this to me. Personally speaking, I believe this is overall a safe product as well and if I ever happen to be in SA area I would also give it a try.

What areas were you able to lighten and were you able to lighten the body as well? Thanks

I have been using Pure Perfect for over a year now and the results have been phenomenal!!! My skin looks fantastic, I am a few shades lighter and my skin has an even tone. Hmmmm... that's very odd and peculiar indeed.. to write only one post to answer as your first post about something never mentioned before here and very specific, unfamiliarity very familiar, log out, and then disappear like the wind, most likely with intentions never to post again about anything else (.. unless provoked in doing so). Even though people had asked for elaboration and more info "Tashy777"... hmmm very peculiar indeed :(. I even recognize your exact writing patterns very clear and familiar and anyone should be able to pick them up. There's usually only one type of people who comes here to create an account and to specifically do what was just done, and 99.9998% of the time they are a 6 letter word beginning with "S" and ending with "R", regardless of how many ip addresses used. I strictly wanted facts only, so this can be taken seriously on how great the results have potential and how common the side effects with it's consumers in order to have a clear evaluation. That was unfair what you just did (and you know who I'm speaking about) to open an additional account just to post that, but thanks anyway.

LOL! I don't find it very odd and peculiar I've seen these types of posts before and have written about them. Call them "drive by" post. They are usually on the negative side though, blah blah blah ruined my skin and POOF... there gone. Never to be seen or heard from again. Meaning they never intended to be active members of this forum in the first place. Just thought they'd pop in and post something negative about a product and leave. Too early to tell with this poster as only a day has past, perhaps they'll be back... maybe.

But I do have a feeling... that if pure perfect is only selling the product in SA.. there is some issue with the ingredients and it contains a banned substance..

Considering US has strict regulations.. they might be afraid they would come under legal tangles.. and thereby don't want to ship it out of SA... where the product usage rules are less stringent...

What do you feel about htat ?

Possibly, possibly not. Although it has been tested, I would love to have it tested as well. In the past I had requested to make an order, but they said that they do not ship to the US but only in SA. But, that their partner company based in the US could, but the US products were much more steep for the same product (at the time they were the same), as I'm sure they had several requests since their site is open for all. I guess we may not 100% know unless there are more specifics given about the testing done, or if we are able to test the old formula ourselves.

I still haven't heard from anyone who have tried this product as of yet. A member here (who I noted earlier) had posted they had used Pure Perfect was in fact a Regular member here under another ip address and username :( in order to allude detection and still advertiseeffectively and cleverly. All I wanted was to hear from honest users who were not fictitious before I eventually try the product myself, as I personally do believe this has quite potential.

In truth, Pure Perfect was originally sister companies of Fair & Flawless in South Africa. Their current status they may be perhaps individual in their own right now, as they are making changes to their skin lighteners. I personally have high hopes for Pure Perfect brand as it is a bit cheaper and they are currently perfecting their product. Once complete, I would like to try to reach great results as the woman pictured above. As her results are dramatic.

Fair and Flawless offers private labeling where you can sell their products under your own skin care name, Sorisha named her's Pure Perfect.

I have an online friend who is from South Africa and that is how I learned of Pure Perfect just last year. He used the original parfait with great success and showed me his before and after pictures, he's now the same skin tone as Sorisha!

Since he lives in South Africa he explained the complaints were coming from the "new parfait" which was not working and did not contain sepi-white either. The "new parfait" was Sorisha's own formulation and not come from Fair and Flawless, that's the one that made some users look dark before getting light, they seem to have hated it!!

The thing is the old parfait everybody liked was also Sorisha's formulation but it was from Fair and Flawless. When you do your own private label formulation you can ask them to make it as strong or as weak as you want it to be. I think she made the original parfait stronger than usual.

That's why so many people liked it! They discontinued it because of high acids. If you used the original parfait right you had great results but if you used it wrong, even Sorisha posted on her site she used it wrong, she stated she got a little greedy and her face went from white to pink and posted something like the skin exfoliating faster than it could repair it's self.

I don't think the original parfait was meant to be used everyday!
Now I read they are lowering the acids in the parfait so this version won't be as strong as the first but it probably will still work very well.

If they discontinued where did they put all those jars?
I know they just didn't throw them away, they have to have something left!
Everybody wanted the original one back!

The picture of the original parfait on their site looked yellow, but the new picture looks pink/lavender. A while back a member here posted a picture of the Fair and Flawless parfait and it looks the same color as the their new one.

I always thought the parfait was a cream until I saw the picture posted.
