    Red bumps due to water?
I'm 23 years old and have people over in my spa a lot. I am having trouble keeping the ph levels balance. The water gets real foggy so I just drain it every couple of times me and my friends use the spa. Almost every time I use the spa I get little red bumps on the my body a day or 2 after words and then they go away after about 2 or 3? What's the deal?

    Hi Chosen1,
It sounds like you are suffering from what is commonly referred to as "Hot Tub Rash":

    Hi Chosen1,
It is caused by a particular class of pathogen known as Pseudomonas. It is far more common in heated water, such as in hot tubs, as the heat causes the chlorine to break down much more quick. I used to be a pool lifeguard and have never heard of a case contracted from unheated pool water. This mostly occurs in spas.
