    Sump pump
I would like to say thank you in advance. THis is the first time I have ever dealt with a sump pump. My sump pump in the basement has gone out. I have tried draining the water; however the water level remains at the same spot. Am I just being impatient or am I doing something wrong?

I'm looking for a complaint here. The pump won't run ? The pump ruins but doesn't pump? If the pump won't kick off then check the power source at the breaker box to see if it's getting electricity. Next check the float switch to see if it's operating. And lastly if everything checks out so far, check the motor windings. Good luck, Tom

Check intake screen, backflow valve, plugging of effluent piping, and if OK drill a 1/8 hole between pump and backflow valve to relieve airlock
