    It may have burned out. I would try replacing the bulb, since you really need it to work. How else can you check for codes? It may have burned out because a code was thrown for so long without the fault being repaired and the code cleared.

    Do a search in the site's archives on the K-Test. I wouldn't be surprised if the Engine Control Module (ECM) has failed.

    Pain in the but to replace bulb comes on thunder 1 thousand2 thousand3 then shuts off all other lights stay on bat so on obd1 k test no codes found still cranks and no start time to charge batt crank sensor? Maybe even the ingnition? New timing belt witness marks aligned another pain I getting to the point were I'm going to drop a insinery grande on it grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr too much money vested now to stop... thronging good money at a bad product

I have a 1991 Ford Ranger 4 wheel drive with the 2.3L 4 cylinder engine. It has new wires, coil packs, and crank shaft position sensor. There are no burnt wires, fuses, or fusible links. There are also no chafed, pinched, or loose wires or connections in the harness yet I keep burning the Ignition...
