    Can I file for a modi
    Hi I have 2 kids and I get child support for the past 2 years but I lost my job one year ago making $37.000 and now I making 18.000 my child support is $500 a month but I only get $207 every 2 weeks , my kids dad makes 58.000 a year... I would like to know if I can file a modification.

    First you can file for a garnishment so you get the full amount, plus get paid back all back pay in addition to the current paymets.

    1. has his pay changed since the original filing.
    2. does your state take your income into consideration when estimating child support.
    *** if yes to the either of the above you can ask for a modification of the support.
