    Unfiled taxes and new passport
I had my head up my butt and have not filed my tax returns for the last several years. I am currently working on getting that resolved. My girlfriend is wanting to take me with her to Mexico in March for vacation. Am I able to get a passport with me having unfiled tax returns?

Well has the IRS filed any charges against you for not filing yet ?

It can really depend on what the issues you and IRS are having, are you in a aduit, have you had property seized ?

Of have you merely not filed, and they may not even know you have not

I have not had any charges filed against me yet.

I am an adult and had no property seized.

Right now I believe I am the last option. The "not filed and they don't know about it yet"

First they depending on who reported wages to you, will trigger that you needed to file.

But there should be no reason you can't get a passport.

Question... Have you applied for your passport yet? If so has it been approved?
My husband is in the same boat so we are hoping unfilled taxes won't affect it.
