    Replace tub spout by shower
I would like to install a hand held shower instead of a tub spout in my new shower. Using a shower kit that has the diverter on the wall-mounted shower lever hand panel (as opposed to a pull-up diverter on the tub spout) I hope to run a hand-held shower from the valve output that would have normally gone to the tub spout (which I don't need). This way I will have overhead and hand-held options.
What will I need to consider to do this? Are there any problems that will keep me from doing this?
    Thanks for any advice.

Thanks, but I'm hoping to avoid the tub spout all together and make it as aesthetically pleasing as possible. This will be a stand alone shower only.
