Time to trawl through the Yellow pages or other business directories.

That's a very large number of commercial premises available.

It's not the case of big competition, but you have chosen two major centers of population.
London alone has 7+ million people in it.

What Ben is trying to say is this, you'll have to do your research and your homework. Time to find out, but we won't do it for you, that's a lot of work, your work.

If you want to open up a "pound shop" then the first step is finding out how many are already open in your neighborhood. This is one step of many. If you're not up to the challenge of doing this first step, you won't be able to face the other challenges.

    Good luck.

If it's your homework then do it. We won't do it for you, it's a rule we have on this site.

Also, my username is Altenweg, the other stuff is my signature.

    My duty? That's funny.

I volunteer here, the only "duties" I have are those I choose to have.

If you had bothered to read the rules you'd realize that we don't do homework here, you see, we actually care whether you get smarter, so we ask that you do it yourself. We all graduated from school already, so why would we do someone else's homework just because they're too lazy to do it themselves?

If you don't like my opinion, ignore it, but realize that everyone else here is also a volunteer, if you don't change your bad attitude, you won't get any help at all.

Now off you go to do your homework or I'm telling your mommy. :)
