I replaced my 1700 Delta shower cartridge with a new one from the company. I replaced it and now a week later it is leaking again. Did I do something wrong.

You may have dirt inside the valve, shut the water to the shower remove the cartridge, turn on the water for a few seconds to flush out all the debris and install the cartridge check it out, Thanks.

It sounds like you have debris (dirt) inside the valve follow as I stated in my post #2, if that wouldn't help call Delta to send you a new cartridge for free no charge to you, good luck.

It is not always clear in the instructions but most of us grease the cartridge and sleeve with a small amount of silicone grease or plumbers grease, make install easier and increase the seal.
