Brand new furnace and the upper motor vibrates?
We just had a brand new furnace installed In November 09. Shotly after we noticed a vibration. The upper motor (induction motor) is mounted on a plastic box and as the motor runs the box vibrates. I place my hand on the box, vibration stops, I place side pressure on the motor vibration stops. All mounting screws are tight. Is it likely the motor has an imbalancd problem?:confused

Yes under warranty and had the installer here 3 times. He is as confused as I am. I was asking to find out what would cause this problem. I intend to push to have the motor replaced. The installer tells me noise is typical.
