Can one collect alimony while on disability?
My 38 yr old married daughter is on disability ($500.00 mo.). She and husband (he's a functional alcoholic) are divorcing. Can she file for/collect alimony while on disability?

Alimony is based upon state laws ( they very in the US) also normally on how long they were married, and the incomes of both people. She could have a job making 10,000 a month if the other party is making in the 100's of thousands,

It is all related to their differences in income and life style
