He's very cute, Muddy. Shelter dogs are probably the best balance between cost and hardiness, and they don't profit the backyard industry. Good for you, and good luck!

He said "When you signed the lease it stated no pets and that's how it's going to stay"

    -super big sigh-

Oh well can't get everything I want. Maybe next year I'll be able to get a dog.

I've been wanting to move away from this crap-town.

    Boo this is so bleh.

Is your lease still in effect or has it renewed? Even if it has many months to go you can start looking now. If he starts getting reference requests maybe he'll negotiate.

Well. If you want the dog REAL bad..

Ontario Landlord and Tenant Act; questions and answers

"Even if you signed a lease with a "no pets" clause, if the pet is not a problem for anybody they can not enforce it; such no pets clauses are invalid under the law."

Nah guys I'm just going to let it go.

I don't want any problems with my landlord.

    Thanks anyway!

You win some, you lose some...

Either way not getting a dog just saved up some cash for my future boob job.

Thanks for the help guys ;)

Sarah, if I was your landlord, I would but you the dog, the EXPENSIVE ONE. Especially if I knew what you were really saving up for!

Just kidding. That was a dirty old man moment.

Let me go hug my wife.
