    Do I need to be bonded to start a office cleaning business in VA?
    Do I need to be bonded to start a clining businees in VA (to be speciffic Ronoke va)

    It is not mandatory to be bonded for a cleaning business with some exceptions...

    Question, are you starting a residential or a commercial cleaning company?

    You should have a liability insurance policy for your own protection in either case. This also offers assurance to your clients in case there is any damage caused by you or your employees.

    Some commercial contracts will state that you must provide a bond and usually states the amount of that bond. This can be purchased through your insurance agent or agency for that particular job.

    In the case of residential cleaning it can get a selling tool in that you can state that your employees are bonded. However this is not a necessity.
