    Grew weary seeking
In 1979 I received an injury while training in the martial arts. The symptoms were pain in the lower right back, lower right abdomen, groin, right testicle and down the right leg. I went to a few different physicians and specialists including a Uroligist and there was nothing they could find wrong. The pain was very real but there was nothing found causing it. One doctor would say it was this and another would mock that doctor and say it was something else, however nothing conclusive. We did find something that took the pain away and that was Entrophen in large doses 4 times a day. I have lived the past 30 years with this pain coming and going and recently it has come back, the worst it has been for a very long time. I grew quite weary with being proded and poked by all the physicians as it went on for over a year. I am hoping that 30 years later there may be someone who has experienced the same type of injury and has had a diagnosis with some tangible results. I've thought about going to the family physician but when I think of what I went through before I don't want to go; not unless I have some idea of what this may be.

Entrophen is aspirin (aka acetylsalicylic acid). Nothing more, nothing less. Furthermore, one tablet is the standard 325 mg of aspirin. It sounds like the doses you were given are on the order of that which is given to people with rheumatoid arthritis.

Aspirin is an anti-inflammatory and an "blood thinner" (anti-prostaglandin). It's actually an amazing drug. The fact that it relieved your pain should give some physican, somewhere, an idea of what's wrong. There's obviously something wrong and sometimes it's difficult to pinpoint the problem. You just need to find the right physician.
