    Is this the Norm?
I logged on today, and hit the answer button. After browsing through several pages, I was just flabbergasted. 12 year olds pregnant, questions on how to get younger girlfriend to have sex, cheating cheating cheating, skin lightening?? Oh and the question of why is my step brother making moves on me? I am horrified to know that this generations' kids are plagued by these issues. All of this technology, and our kids are exposed to mind numbing "reality t.v." and suggestive, if not downright pornographic lyrics in songs. How are we allowing our children to become infested with this? How can we sit here and condone this happening? Is my generation is a lazy, mindless, selfish, self righteous bunch of freaks who are allowing their kids to be parented by "popular" culture? Where are the PARENTS? So absorbed in their own petty lives that their 12 year old children are pro-creating? A little girl hates the color of her skin, so she applies chemicals to try to fit this ignorant image of perfection? I am not trying to sound uptight , but I am truly moved by this. And a bit scared. It breaks my heart to think that we as a nation are polluting our kids for the sake of a profit, or own own personal gain. So my question is, at what point do we say enough is enough?

I can assure you that no one here would give sexually advice to anyone under age,and although some of the threads can be frightening, there's is only so much you can do over a computer screen.

As for your queston,I'm afraid it's the society we live in.

Technology has its benefits and its drawbacks.

As a parent I can police what my youngest daughter watches and sees on the computer and TV.

Its horrible to think what some very young people are exposed to,but this site attracts the broken hearted the sad and scared, and very often the advice given is taken and used to help.

I suppose all I can do is to help where I can and protect where I can,and that's starts at home.

If its any comfort, the site is well run and the moderators monitor all the threads.
