Undocumented Guests crash White House Party
A White House official says the Virginia couple who attended a state dinner without an invitation met President Barack Obama in the receiving line.
Michaele and Tareq Salahi were admitted into Tuesday's dinner for India's visiting prime minister although they were not on the official guest list of more than 300 people. It had been unclear how close they may have gotten to Obama.
A White House official said Friday that the couple met Obama in the receiving line. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because of an ongoing Secret Service investigation into how the couple slipped through its usually tight security.
White House says uninvited dinner couple met Obama
Why are they making a big deal about this ? The party crashers were undocumented dinner guests slipping past border security . I think there should be an open border to the White House... don't you ? Surely they shouldn't face any penalty just because they broke the law by entering ?
Heck ;they saw what was on the menu and decided there were better eating opportunities on the other side of the fence.

Hello tom:
Yeah, those undocumented workers... You ain't got none in NY, do you? None at your local diner where your food is CHEAP because of them... What about at your grocery store, where your lettuce is CHEAP because of 'em. Do you stay in motels?? You do?? Do you like the CHEAP prices you pay because the maids are undocumented??
By the way, do you ASK at the motel you stay in whether they have illegal workers?? You DON'T?? Do you ask the manager of the restaurant you're eating in whether they hire undocumented workers? You DON'T?
Guess, you LIKE them undocumented workers, don't you? Of course, you LIKE 'em when they SAVE you money, but when you WRITE about 'em, you don't like 'em very much... That's kind of hypocritical, no?
Or, did you want to talk about the Secret Service breech? Nahhh. You just wanted to this Obama.

Ex the problem is that you don'twant to discuss the national security issues related to illegals entering the country.
You also seem to not have a problem with exploiting a work force in the country . Coincidently I write this today from a computer in a hotel . All the employees here appear to be college students and locals . The last time I was in a hotel was in Quebec Canada . Amazing enough that hotel seemed to do a nice business using the local population .
Most of my staff consists of immigrants. We do all the necessary screening required by law and pay them industry standard wages . That is how it should be for every worker in the country .I'm surprised you approve exploitation .
Clete , Americans forget that the 25th President William McKinley was assassinated while conducting a receiving line greeting.

Hello again, tom:
Let's talk if the next attack comes from people who crossed that border. Until then, I maintain, they bring their dust rags - not bombs.

Ex it is convenient for you to forget the last attack came from people who crossed a border, how many times do you need before you understand that whilst the threat might be internal, it is more than likely to be external

Hello again, clete:
External, schmexternal. We have 6,000 miles of unguarded border, and we ain't going to spend the jillions it would take to secure it, no matter what the right wingers would like.
But, I wasn't posting about the border. I don't have a problem with a SECURE border. It's about the people who are already here, and what to do about them...
Actually, it's about the crooks who broke into the state dinner the other night.

Hey, ex, I agree it's a concern and that their actions were criminal, not only that but through these actions, they hold your nation up to ridicule, it's all a big joke for a couple of socialites.
And, yes, you really should should secure your 6,000 miles of border, particularly the southern one which is somewhat shorter. You spend a lot of money securing your coast line. What you are saying is you would rather have the illegals and the threat they pose of crime, terrorists, drugs, etc than to spend a little money. What is it with you guys? It is always about money, you would think you had a high tax regime over there?
What do you do with the people who are already there? Catch them and send them home, how hard can it be? After all there are millions of them, Every cop who gives someone a ticket does an identity check, every realtor who rents a house does an identity check, Every employer who has unregistered persons on the payroll can't get a deduction for them. Just too many people on the take. You just have to get serious and use the systems you have or do you just like keeping slave labour?

On a cost comparison basis I am positive doing a better job securing the borders would be a net savings.
I don't have a problem with a SECURE border.
Excon you have never favored steps to secure the borders on these discussion boards so your statement above is "johnny come lately" .
My op is a bit tongue in cheek because it illustrates the contradiction between the open border positions and the outrage by many of the open border crowd over the security breach .
It's about the people who are already here, and what to do about them
That to me is a valid debate to have once we have demonstrated an effort at being serious about the illegal entries in the 1st place. What good is having amnesty like programs every 20 years if we are unwilling to stop the problem at the point of entry ?
Actually, it's about the crooks who broke into the state dinner the other night.
It is unclear to me what if any law was broken by the party crashers . That is another difference between them and illegal aliens.

Hello again, tom:
The truth is, I would secure the borders DIFFERENTLY than you would.
I can think of dozens of laws the party crashers violated. As a matter of fact, the feds have a panoply of crimes they can charge them with...
What? You don't think we became the worlds LARGEST jailer because we don't know how to put people in the slam, do you?
Really?

Is an open door policy a secure one ? I guess if what you want is cheap labor I suppose .
When I see the party crashers charged I'll be better able to determine if their prank went beyond balloon boy status.

I think Obama must have secretly invited them as he seemed so delighted to see Mrs. S and held her hand and had "hand sex" with her. I personally think that was hilarious of them to do. Goes to show you how "easy" it is to get into the WH - either uninvited or illegaly elected.

I'm getting more info along that line . Just have to connect the dots . Will probably comment on that tomorrow. There are a few 6 degrees or less of separation between the Salahi's and the President .Interesting developments like Tareq Salahi serving on the board of the American Task Force for Palestine, the same task force Rashid Khalidi served as vice president. Khalidi is of course one of the President's many nefarious buddies. More to follow.

Here is a picture of then Senator Obama with the Black Eye Peas ,Randy Jackson of American Idol ,and the Salahi's. This picture was taken in 2005 .
Meanwhile the White House is invoking Executive Privilege to prevent Obama's Social Secretary Desiree Rogers from testifying to a Congressional Committee investigating this breach of security .
