Just bought a home in June and since moving I have lost my job, is there any help out there to help me with my mortgage payments?

I am not sure, check with your mortgage lender, ask if you by chance purchased any insurance that pays your mortgage payments should you lose you employment. I never buy that type of insurance, it seems rather expensive to me... I just find a way to stay current, whatever it takes as long as it's honest work. Good luck.

Some non profit organizations have short term payment assistance programs. I would start with some of the larger churches in your area or The United Way.

Considering that you have just bought this home and haven't had any time to build tremendous equity (unless you put a bunch of money down), you may want to explain to your lender what has happened. You can sometimes work out a new structured payment plan with them. A friend of mine went through a divorce and she worked out a temporary payment plan with her bank until she could sell the house and they didn't even report any delinquency on her credit bureau.
