    The previous settings were operating your air conditioner instead of the furnace. They are for a heat pump system.

    At first, I thought nothing was happening. But, it is definatley blowing hot air now. But, the outside thing (condensor?) is not running. Is that OK?

    Absolutely. It should only operate in cooling mode. Enjoy the warmth.
