Leaf Ear Deaf Meniere's or Inner Ear
Summer of '08 I experienced temporary hearing loss on and off for a couple weeks then, one day out of no where I went deaf in both ears with like only 20% hearing in the right ear. I went to an MD who referred me to an ENT who ran a hearing test and said that my ears and hearing were fine. Of course, my appointment was on a day I had my hearing. The ENT went on to say that I could possibly have Meniere's Disease, MS, or a tumor in my head and suggested an MRI. I don't have insurance so a MRI was out of the question. I have been fine now for a year and just recently started seeing a chiropractor for a painful neck. Everything seem fine for the two weeks I have been adjusted until this past Monday I got the deafness back in the left ear which went away for a couple days only to return Thursday with me being totally deaf in my left ear now for 4 days which is driving me nuts. It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't get dizzy when I turned my head or bend over. I am wondering if a sinus wash will make it better or worse. Wondering if it could be Meniere's or just an inner ear thing. I do have sinus problems and allergic basically to Fall.

    Dear tndolfinlvr,
This mite be a condition of Meniere's. It can be assessed and confirmed using Epley manoveur by the ENT specialist. I would like to know if u've ringing sounds in your ear(such as windy noise/buzzin sounds etc) when you are in a silent surrounding.. if so you'll have to mention that also to your ENT/Audiologist. I would suggest a detail evaluation by an ENT.
Hope you are satisfied with the answer.

Hi, I'm no expert on this but I once had a problem with deafness in one ear and dizziness and turned out to be an inner ear infection. They put me on a 6 day course of antibiotics plus ear drops and felt fine after 3 days of taking the meds.
